The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
